Huntington’s disease in the Panamanian population, 2007-2021

Introduction: Huntington’s disease (HD) is an autosomal dominant neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor, cognitive and psychiatric dysfunction1. The prevalence of HD in Central America is unknown (2-11). No studies on this disease have been reported in Panama. The objective is to estimate the prevalence of HD in the Panamanian population.
